    Oral local churches?

Should we be working towards "going oral" in our local church? With 70% of the world in the oral camp is it right we maintain a literate approach to "doing church"? Will we not exclude the increasingly non-literate youth in the West from our worship of Jesus and instruction in His Word?

Craig Bird writes an interesting article on this subject entitled "Church leaders predict sermons will change in next wave of postmodern worship". Should we be adjusting to that change? Is there a danger "our" church will cease to be relevant if we don't?

Bryan and Yvette are beginning a discussion on the podcast this week: "How oral are our churches?" (with particular examples drawn from their own local church as it is now), and brainstorming on what it would look like to build an oral-friendly atmosphere in their church.
