New DVD out on Orality - subscribe to it in iTunes!

A great DVD, entitled "Orality Around the World" was released at the conference in Colorado Springs. It is an excellent short video clip overview and introduction to Orality, and will shortly be available to buy online.

Meanwhile you can subscribe to the ION feed in iTunes (Search: "orality" and click below the International Orality Network logo). Click here to subscribe directly if you have iTunes already installed on your computer.

There are 17 video clips available on that feed, varying in length from just over a minute to just under seven. We will keep you posted on where you can buy a "hard copy" of this DVD when online purchase becomes possible.

    Colorado Springs conferences

The Wyndham Hotel, below snow-capped Pike’s Peak in Colorado Springs, was the International Orality Network's (ION) gathering point for the "double orality" conference this year. And what a time it was! We will no doubt be blogging some summary points in the coming days. The main Primary Oral Learners conference took place first, followed by the inaugural and highly successful Secondary Orality conference, which in past years has been a working group at the main ION conference. Future regional Orality conferences are projected to take place in various parts of the world to raise awareness of the need for oral strategies to reach Primary (as in cannot read or write) and Secondary Oral Learners and to help train attendees in Chronological Bible Storying.

    Leave us a message!

We have been wrestling a little bit with getting feedback from our listeners onto the podcasts. It is quite likely that several people have left messages on our Skype Voice mail (story4all) and they never got transmitted to us! We have looked into the matter and believe we have ‘fixed’ the problem. If you have left a message and it was unanswered please do accept out apologies and understand that we never got the message!

We continue to desire to have “mailbag” episodes on the podcast. Meaning we have messages and emails coming in at such a rate that we will have whole shows dedicated to subjects raised. We want to play back feedback on the shows and trust that those who use Skype will overcome shyness (?) and leave us some messages, comments, discussion points, questions, etc. that we can play on the show.

In another attempt to make that transition to leaving a message easier we have taken out a My Chingo account and now you can leave us a message about anything you hear on the podcast or see on the website by clicking the yellow button (below) that you will also see on various pages throughout the story4all website or on the Show Notes page. Why not try it out and let us hear from you now! (And we won’t play your piece on the show if you don’t want us to!).
