    Join our discussion

Bryan and Yvette have started a discussion on this week's podcast about how oral our churches are. They look this week at their own church and describe the normal routine for the Sunday morning service. In subsequent weeks they will brainstorm about how their church could become more friendly for oral communicators who visit or attend it.

We'd love your input about your church. Each week we shall be opening a discussion thread in the forum to look at some of the topics covered on the shows. Join us there and let us know how it is for you and your church. Brainstorm with us about ideas you may have.

If you want to have your input shared on the show as part of the discussion please send us audio feedback. Send us audio comments via the My Chingo button on this website, or email us via our Contact Us page.

    Looking for journaling storytellers ...

If you have a story to tell about the use of Bible storying somewhere, we would love to hear from you! We have seen that the sharing of stories about storying on our podcast is bringing great encouragement and instruction to many round the world. Perhaps your story can bring that blessing and be a vital uplift to someone struggling to share Jesus with the lost.

We are especially interested in hearing from those who have kept (or are keeping) a journal of their experiences - yes, warts and all! - and would love to share that story with our podcast listeners. Any takers? Please get in touch with us via our Contact Us page. Better still ... why not record something for us using the My Chingo button on that page?

    Oral local churches?

Should we be working towards "going oral" in our local church? With 70% of the world in the oral camp is it right we maintain a literate approach to "doing church"? Will we not exclude the increasingly non-literate youth in the West from our worship of Jesus and instruction in His Word?

Craig Bird writes an interesting article on this subject entitled "Church leaders predict sermons will change in next wave of postmodern worship". Should we be adjusting to that change? Is there a danger "our" church will cease to be relevant if we don't?

Bryan and Yvette are beginning a discussion on the podcast this week: "How oral are our churches?" (with particular examples drawn from their own local church as it is now), and brainstorming on what it would look like to build an oral-friendly atmosphere in their church.

Join us in the forum to discuss this question and give us your feedback. Or if you want to have your comments included in the shows on this topic then drop us an audio comment via Skype or the My Chingo button on the website! You can also contact us via our Contact page or just leaving a comment here on the blog.
